We've been talking about it in the other thread, But I thought a fresh meet deserved a fresh thread. Who's interested in coming out before September ends? I'd love to meet some fellow owners and check out your cars before you pack them all up for the winter.

Open to suggestions for time and location, though I think we already ruled out Wed nights for a few of us.

Wednesdays are also bad for me, same with Fridays.

403/Dundas Timmies is a good location for me as I live 5 mins away from it.

Evening are usually best for me.

Can we agree to do a Thursday night at 403/Dundas Timmies? Say 6 or 7pm?

I'm coming from Pickering so it's not ideal, but I'm there to meet you guys and see YOUR cars, not show off mine. So I'm willing to drive.

What about Brampton??? Or even alternating from Sauga?

Yes Chris!!! I was going to say that. Some of us here in Brampton would really like it if it was closer to us. Chris is on Williams (if I remember correctly) and I am not too far from him. Some where around the highway is best! At bovaird there is trinity common, we can choose a parking lot there.

Trinity would be ideal. Lots of parking, food and accessible from hwy.

I picked up a whack of parts today, including the ecm I need to make my Talon run, so hopefully I'll be ready to rock (my stock box)

I'd prefer a week night, but I'm not that picky. I'll follow what ever you guys set in stone.

Yeah deep has a good point, we are going to have to deal with lots of people on a sunday. Although the Zellers parking lot is always pretty bare so i dont think we would have an issue finding parking there.

Well, I went out to North Bay over the weekend and got my parts, did a teeny tiny bit of wrenching and my car is up and running. Dropping it off for E-test and safety tonight, though me mechanic is busy and it might take him a few days. I might have it back in time for this Thursday night if that's what you guys decide.

So the two issues or Thursday night vs. Sunday (I think most prefer Thursday) and 403/Dundas vs Brampton (and I think most are for Brampton)

So who can confirm Thursday night in Brampton THIS week? or should we hold off until next?

YES!! LOL I am just playing. I think the thought is that the last one was in Mississauga and the one before that was in Mississauga too so it would be nice to have one close for the Brampton people and if anyone farther north wants to join too.

Hey guys, I'm still pretty new to the forums but I might swing by Brampton to say hi and show off my work in progress. (not much to show off right now haha) I'm actually more interested in checking everyones cars out. Will it be tomorrow at 7pm? Where exactly in Brampton? I might have a vdub tag along LOL.

Welcome David! Yes it will be at 7pm in the zellers parking lot at trinity common. Too bad Brandon's not coming then they could share their own VDub stories.

Looks like there will only be a handful of us anyways David, and I'm brand new too, so its the perfect environment to come out to.

That being said I'm crossing my fingers that I'm ready to go come tomorrow. Car is in getting Safety and E-tested now, so I hope I get it back in time tomorrow to get properly plated and switch my insurance over before I have to drive to Brampton.

I'll be there. 1st meet for me. Cant wait to see your guys cars.

Well, the Talon got the safety without too much issue. Apparently one wheel bearing was flopping all over the place and needed tightening and there was a sheered bolt near a tie rod? or something to that effect. But both were fairly minor issues. It's down the road from my mechanic getting E-tested. So depending on when they finish that, and if I can get over to the MOT and get it transferred...I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of me showing up in the Talon or my Cavalier.

But either way, I'll be there. Looking forward to seeing you guys and your cars.
