I posted this in the love, life, dsm forums first to get an idea on value, so here it is up for sale:

Talon specs:
This car will pass e-test (must change settings on SAFC first, then it's just idle test as its AWD), and ran as fast as an 11.99 at Sparta in the summer of 2006 at 21psi. Not abused (other than the transmission, which has been replaced 8 months ago with another good used tranny, and new shift fork).

1992 Eagle Talon TSI AWD turbo, Black, 178,000kms - 6bolt block, 4bolt rear end

Engine:
-EVO III-16G turbo
-Ported 2nd gen Exhaust manifold
-3” custom stainless steel exhaust, custom stainless hi-flow cat, custom stainless muffler
-Massive SS FMIC /w piping
-Massive Aluminum race rad (required moving/cutting fans)
-Aeromotive aftermarket FPR, stainless lines, /w gauge
-550cc RC injectors
-2G MAF
-K&N Air filter
-ACT2900 clutch
-Crushed BOV
Electronics:
-SAFC-II
-Eprom ECU with chip for above engine mods and stutterbox (launch control)
-VDO Boost Gauge
-Data logging cable
-Kenwood MP3 cd player with kenwood 6x9’s in rear (ipod wire already installed)
Suspension/Brakes:
-Crossdrilled rotors
-PBR Metalmaster brake pads
-Stainless steel brake lines
-Apexi lowering springs (1.5” drop)
-Koni Yellow front shocks
-Koni OEM replacement rear shocks
Other:
-All synthetics: Syncromesh in transmission, Amsoil oil, Dot4 high temp brake fluid
-17” Motegi MR-7 Gunmetal wheels
-17” Kumho ecsta 712’s (1-2 seasons left)
What doesn’t work:
-Right is that the rear driver’s caliper isn’t working properly (needs a rebuild, but the brakes work fine)
-Quarter inch of rust on drivers side rear wheel well
-Power steering fluid leaks, and I haven’t found the hole yet
-O2 sensor should probably be replaced
-Paint on the roof looks flat compared to the rest of the car

Asking $5,000obo

If you don't mind me asking, you ran 11.99 at 21 psi in 2006 with 550's on the evo16g, what was your mph ?

Was this on racegas or pumpgas ?

115mph, pumpgas 94 octane, had my fuel pressure way up, and my safc pulling around 8% at full throttle across the upper rpm band increasing timing. I may have been at 22 or 23psi peak that day, as at full throttle the boost would tend to creep up a bit.

Jon,
Definately doable, however you will need a timeslip to really prove that claim. Really, I don't remember anyone who ran 11's on pump back then, in Canada on a 16g.

That's fine, I'm really not looking to prove anything here, just selling the car. It'll be pretty obvious when driving it how fast the car is.

Hopefully the price looks fair to everyone based on the mods, not how fast someone can drive it.

Old post being revived...I had decided to drive this for a few more months, but now I'm looking at getting a truck, because we frequently need to move things, furniture (and our huskies).

Selling again, for an even better price, looking for a low $3999, which you could easily get in just parts off this car.

Since this post, I've also put on new calipers, rotors, and pads on the rear, as well as new hard lines from the centre of the car to the rear.

I have developed a small power steering leak again though, and with the cold, I haven't been able to track it down yet.

Anyway, have a look, as I said, I really don't want to part her out when she still runs well.

Okay guys, well I somehow developed another power steering leak, and haven't found it yet. Posting the running version for sale one last time at the lowest price I'm willing to take $3500 since I'm not even driving the car right now (been off the road for 4 weeks now). Car is a 6/4 bolt combo by the way.

Last time I had 4 different toronto area guys interested, setup appointments multiple calls, then not show. Got busy with a basement renovation, and didn't post for awhile.

Anyway if I don't sell her in the next 2-3 weeks, I will go to part out, which is kind of sad. Just a ballpark of what I've seen some of the aftermarket parts go for used:

2G MAF $70.00
16G EVOIII Turbo $350.00
Transmission $200.00
Springs $100.00
FMIC $300.00
Exhaust $300.00
Shocks $100.00
SAFC $140.00
17" wheels $300.00
front big brake calipers with brackets $100.00
rear freshly rebuilt calipers $50.00
Aeromotive AFPR /w lines $250.00
Eprom ECU & chip $180.00
Aluminum race rad $200.00
550cc injectors $150.00
New O2 sensor $50.00
Walbro 255HP $65.00
K&N filter $20.00
Crushed BOV $25.00
ACT2900 $100.00
VDO boost gauge $10.00

That stuff alone if I got approximately those prices is $3,060, not mentioning stereo or anything.

Thanks for all the interest so far...have 2 people coming today to see the car, and another 2 on Sunday.

Lots of people have asked about the part out, I'm going to give it another week or so, and see if the whole car sells, but don't worry I've kept everyones messages, and parts would be dibs for whoever messaged me first.

Thanks.
