For those of you driving around with rotten/rusted shock towers, it might be a good time to get them fixed before winter comes around.
After repairing many cars on these forums, mostly by word of mouth, I think it only makes sense to offer this service for other dsm'ers.
My prices are very reasonable. Close to 1/2 of what most shops willing to do the same type of work will charge.
All the rust is completely cut out, and a combination of 14 guage and 16 guage steel is welding in, primed and undercoated from the bottom of the towers. (Welding is all done with an industrial 240v Lincoln mig welder)
I will post pictures soon.
If you have any questions, you can pm me or give me a call at 647-203-1784.
James

James, just to say, you did a fantastic job on your own rocker rebuild. I did the same on mine as I had a few small holes in the wheel well, and flushed it out like you did. Fantastic idea on that one man, and really good job on all those rockers/strut towers!

That's a HELLUVALOTTA rust for a 2g! From what I've seen the second most common rust spot on the 2g's is the rockers(toward the rear of the car). Third most common is on the hatch - but I've mostly only seen rust on the 2gb hatches.

I've got a 96' Chevy Silverado you can do the cab corners on it for me. Also some rust around the box wheel wells. Are you mobile with your tools (truck isn't on the road, just got it)?
