As for the datalogger, I won't be needing one either. Being the rocket fast n/t ESi that I am, there would be no need. Maybe in the fall, once Hahn Racecraft decides they're going to send me a free turbo kit for some odd reason, lol.
But seriously, thats my goal for this summer, is a Stage 1 kit from Hahn. We'll see how much school I have to pay off first.
Anyways guys, if I don't make it this sunday, I must say I had a blast these past 8 months. Going to the track for the first time was incredible (high 16's! lol) monthly Denny's meets were good, and buying Ali's 18's were even better, other then he didn't tighten to well that all 4 wheels almost fell off when I was on the 401. But seriously, I met some really cool people up here, and I can't wait to get back in September. Billy will probably be running low 11's high 10's by the time I get back, Cindy will have a sweet TSi thats faster then Chucks car, Tom will have a crazy tan by the end of the summer because of his sunroof, and Ali and Yasar will be known for smoking C5 corvettes in Ottawa.
Anyways, I look forward to keeping in touch with all of you on the board, and I will definately be coming up in the summer for a monthly meet. Yorkdale meets in TO is all hype anyways, they don't even compare to Ottawa! lol.
Anywyas guys, have a good one, I have to get back to packing. GOod luck to all. Ciao WTF?? I am one of the faster DSM's in Ottawa and you say a quote that I will have a freaking tan because of my sunroof? You are a homo. Seriously, this where Shawn says he will be faster but until he PROVES that he is by going faster on the 1/4, than I am faster than him, and all you folks who replied so far. (Billy, you never drove your car on that run so you cannot say a thing for a few more weeks ) See you all there. Aly, Track Saturday? Earlier rather than later? I would go as it is cooler and need to improve my time. Non humid weather helps.

I talked to a new guy in a black 2G Tsi today and he might come out with us this weekend...always nice to see new faces...he is the third 2G black Talon this week that I saw that I didn't reconize...I guess it's time to get handing out those cards again...

Third, I haven't replied to the post about times. In a years time, I will have a different motor all together, so what Peter said is possible, but I'm not even thinking 10's. The car will see 11's for sure this summer, that I don't doubt.

You asked for it Actually will definately be faster LOL, bigger FMIC, bigger turbo, and 1G engine with 2G MAS and 2G Exhaust manifold, ported 02 housing, bigger injectors and all the other mods you have. If I am not faster something is wrong or I just cannot launch, which was the case when I ran 14.2 with a stock car and 2.1 60ft time!!! Me and you line up in June Tom. Seriously, this where Shawn says he will be faster but until he PROVES that he is by going faster on the 1/4, than I am faster than him, and all you folks who replied so far. Hey guys, I was considering going up to the track with you on Sat. now that I have a new turbo and fuel pump installed. But even with the 34mm flapper upgrade I still have boost creep. I guess I'll have to take the turbo off again and get more aggressive with the porting. Until I get that under control, there is no point going to the track. It pulls nicely at 12psi though. See you Sunday. Chuck: I recommend you turn your boost down to 13-14 psi considering the lack of fuel mods. I'm maxing out my 450's at about 5,500 rpm at that boost level. Talk to you Sunday.

1. Everyone, I think TOM is having a nervous breakdown. He's becoming slow I couldn;t take the bragging anymore 2. I will go, but probably to vieo tape. Looks like I will need a new clutch if I want to start racing again. And the syncros are GONE in my tranny. 3. Eric O. Remember last year when I said I was losing boost in the upper RPM's (3rd Gear)? Well thankfully I only went the fish valve way.My theory is seeing the BCS is still hooked up.. as soon as I go lean. Yup, you guessed it, ECU pulls back boost. SO it's saving my engine. Phew. Fuel pump next month. Now an anonoymous tipster told me I would ok with stock injectors ( Small 16G) with Walboro Pump. 17psi max. Would still like to borrow your equipment for me to check 4. Ali. Even if you get a couple runs in. at least that will give you an idea of what you can run. And it's an afternoon out. Worst case. We have more footage for the video

wow that's alot of back and forth and changing our minds...lets get this organized now...so what are the options??
1. Meeting at south keys at 2:00(typical) 2. Meet at South keys and go for a drive 3. Meet earlier and head up to luskville 4. Meet at south keys and head over to Le Sratch for the show and shine
Personally I wouldn't mind going up to Luskville and just get a couple of runs in...I don't need too many...but would like to get my 12.xx... but I"m game for a ride if it's on the ontario side..
Can we get votes to see what people want to do??

Ok. Like anyone is going to check this thread anymore. But the video is done.
Now. Three things to remember here.
1. Newbie 2. Newbie 3. Newbie
Yeah. Anyway, my PC is a 600 and to be honest with you, I'm not much in the mood to spend 3-4 days slapping this thing together. So I just added a song that was almost as long as the video and had some kind of techno/Grunge to it. Crystal Method it was.
And number two. YES. NEWBIE. I am that. First time putting a video together. So some cuts are horrible. some footage sucks. but hey. learning experience.
Anyway. just to let you know. it's done but 140 Megs in size for 4:30 mins. Time to convert to DIVX. I will keep everyone posted!!!!
A++!
Chuck

Hey guys,
Sorry I missed the meet. Clutch feels great. Grabs right-now fast, but it's breaking in nicely. (First time I ever stalled my car.)
Couple of questions:
1) When are we going to the track?
2) One of the guys said he had a connection to get stock front disks. My brakes started going on Sunday and I'm in need of a new set. If anyone can remember who that was, please let me know.
Thanks,
G

I'm downloading it right now. I like the looks of the webiste, except for that black car on the homepage. It's not a DSM. I have a bunch of pics from the meet if you want me to upload them so you can use them for the section. I also have some video footage if you are interested, from some other days of driving.

Hey Chuck, is it me, or does the footage seem blurry? I noticed as the cars goes by, there is a blur. Maybe there is a different setting on Tom's cam or something, but the footage just seems that way to me. I know on my cam, I can move quickly from side to side without a blur effect. The vid was good though, like you mentioned, you need some transition practise, but IMO, good vid for first time.

Well. As for the blurry footage, I either blame 1. The Camera. OR 2. The Camera Settings. OR 3. The Software which Captures the video. Of the top of my head I can't remember if the video extracted from the camera is that bad (I think it is.. but...) Also we have noticed the colors are SOOOOOO dark. Need to start playing with White Balance. Obviously, compressing with DIVX to get a reasonable file size doesn't help either. I'm gonna tinker around with it more. and possibly try to get some more practice with the camera. (Will have to go buy my own now. Damn you tom ) Thanks for the support guys. and trust me. If you had to wait 60 secs for each transition to be added and 90 for each clip. You would miss a couple. I just wanted to check the different ones out. some of them I hate. Dissolve is my fave.

if you guys need any full versions of premiere and after affects let me know. The vid looks good, however there is some blurring when the cars are moving. I'm not really a big fan a divx. Have you tried exporting in some different types? my 2 cents.
what's all that white smoke?
