Been staying at the plantation for the past 8 or 10 years. All I have to say is bring your party hat or a nice and bright Hawaiian shirt!!!

But when you go thru the border... Bring a printed copy of the hotel booking, some sorta flyer for the shootout, proof of where you work.. The American border police are bullies. Almost didnt make it thru.

I dropped the ball.... Big time, I called 8 different motels and the only place that has vacancy is the plantation.... But it would be just shy of $600 US for the weekend... FML

We are going to NY City for a weekend and paying a lot less than that for Motels....

When I called they (the plantation) told me the smallest place for rent was the 2 bed room... Hense the price.

There's plenty in the area cheaper than that. From past experience I would expect between $120-150/night

I've stayed in the Best Western, Super 8 and Econolodge, rooms were decent, BW being the cleanest by far. You don't spend much time in the motel anyway. Don't forget if you are a CAA member to mention it, most places will give you a 5-10% discount.

Look a bit further away if everything close is taken. Nothing at the plantation is worth that price. We had a cabin and that was 80 a night.

Looks like I am going to miss again this year. I didn't book early enough, and the new format just doesn't work for me, ever since they added the extra day to the event. I would be interested in the Friday and the Sunday, but have no interest in the Saturday events, so I would need to either spend a lot of time and money and sit around for a day doing nothing, or else make the very long drive for ONLY the Sunday of drag racing. I would have considered that if I still had the scooter insured, but I did not insure it this year, as last year I only rode it about 3 times....and $200. in insurance every time you turn the key is just ridiculous.

I called last night and there are 20 rooms left. I booked mine.
