Use one of these from ctc, pushlock hose and ends from Ziggy and no leaks or kinks. Also come in 3/4 for Holset Etc.

I've made my own using SS wire.

Just wrap it around a smaller diameter pipe nice and tight and you're golden smile

Good idea! They actually make line benders out of same stuff.

OEM hardline isn't sufficient for Holset drain.

I used one of these for my return too.

I think I'm missing something?

I didn't use anything on my Holset drain and it worked perfectly fine.

I know that, but for the 99% of people running stock frame(16g/14b/20g/FP Red/etc) the oem line is the best option.

A lot of people also make the mistake of running a larger drain line on their holset to the stock hole in the oil pan, so it gives basically zero benefit.

The stock hole in the oil pan is only MARGINALLY smaller than the smallest ID's in -12 an fittings. The smallest ID in a -10 an fitting is considerably SMALLER than the oil pan hole, so there IS a benefit to going -12an even with the stock oil pan hole.

Ziggy's -12 AN braided line. Sort of wishing I had bought black fittings instead the red and blue *DOH

Depends on the manifold, the AN size, and the fittings you use. Mine, I could probably get away without using one of these, but it was $5 and allowed me to perfectly curve the return line so it will never kink. -10AN you probably won't need it because the fittings are smaller and allow a more gentle connection. -12AN, really depending on the drain outlet, you could have a chance for a really bad kink.

Regarding the drain size, Ziggy has it right. And besides, if you are doing it right, you have a bung welded onto your oil pan.

^ and if you have a bung welded to your pan, you should have opened up that hole some.....

I used Ziggy's kit (-12an if I recall) for the HX35 and it had no kinks. Was difficult to cut a proper length though.

I've got Ziggy's -10AN push lock kit and have no issues with knocks. However since I need a new line, I'll have to see if the local crappy has this stuff.
