Sounds like it is wired different then stock. Did you install the insulator around the pump?

It does have some suspect wiring it should prime for a few seconds then stop right.
And no to the insulation at the moment.

No they dont prime like every other car. Pump is only active during crank and run.

Would it hurt to have it running like this just to fire it up and fault find the problem once I know I get fuel to the motor?

Through link mine is setup just like yours Kirk.

I don't think it's a huge issue, one of the reasons they made it like that was for fire reasons, at least that's what I was told.

exhaust was welded up tonight, 3 inch down pipe and cat then 2.5 to the muffler.

I made the mistake of not bleeding the brakes while my engine was out and no the prop valve is leaking so I have to take it out and see why.
horrible job.

Did you flare the lines yourself? May be a bad flare. May just not be tight enough.

Its when I push the brake pedal it squirts back towards the pipe through the fitting(which I changed when I reflared).

Must have been a bad flare I used a stock line and it didnt leak, went to cut it to length and broke the 3/16 adapter.

Amongst all the annoyance I bought some goodies a omp steer8ng wheel to take over from my classic momo I've had for a few years. Also a apparent short shifter we will have to see on that one. Also grabbed a master cylinder just incase.

there's a heatshield there usually, is yours still there?

I would suggest wrapping that part of your exhaust

Where the exhaust crosses the driveshaft at the rear makes me feel uneasy. It is fairly close indeed.
