t's been a long time since I've posted any updates so I'll share some things I've done recently. There's not a whole hell of a lot changed due to just a lack of time, whenever I am home I try to spend time with my family more then the car. I'm actually home now to do my last block of school and become a Journeyman Electrician so that's taking up a lot of my spare time; I am trying to get a couple things done though. Back to the wiring. First I mounted up my SRR that feeds the Fuel pump rewire. This is mounted behind the rear interior panels. I might actually move some of my EHPS stuff here too. I need to shave down the wiring stud to fit into the SRR. Back into the passenger side fender harness, to finalize the lengths for the reverse light switch, Boost control solenoid and a couple other things. Bagged up and ready to be finished at home. Some where around here I managed to break a set of dykes that my old man has had forever, oops. I bought him a nice new pair of Klein dykes. Finished my ground cables up. And my firewall to starter cable.

Got some rubber mounts for the EHPS pump. Hopefully this will keep noise/vibration down. I'm thinking I will weld the mount to the frame (already did that with the battery mount). I had picked up some Morimoto LED fog lights for the Fiesta but I decided to use them on the Talon instead of the BMW X5 LED Fogs I picked up. Made some mounts that bolt to the crash bar and place the fogs in the outside 'mouths' on the bumper. Oh no, the fogs aren't straight! This is why I love aluminum for making mounts. 2 seconds with a pair of vice grips and they're straight. Tossed the bumper on, love how it will look when FINALLY complete. I had to trim the mounts on 1 side off, couple minutes with the dremel and it's like they were never there. What happened to the X5 LEDs, well, I put them in my headlights to act as DRLs and auxiliary fogs (though they might not work very well in the position). That's it for now. I've got a bunch of work still and parts to buy. There's some things I will be changing with the wiring and adding in (plugs for meth injection so it will be plug and play, adding the X5 fog wiring, etc). Most the work I'm doing now is in my garage and not on the car (stupid snow/cold).

Some more updates on this bucket, inching closer and closer to finishing it. Got my hands on a 96A Saturn Alternator, this will be converted to a 1 wire set up. Maintenance stuff - MT90, MTL, Shockproof and plugs. Custom PS high side line with a fitting that will allow me to do a field splice - it's much like at AN fitting just rated for a much higher PSI. 4 port Lancer master cylinder for my booster delete. More wiring stuff, point to point and loomed the COP harness. Back into the fender harnesses, had to had some 4 pin connectors for my bumper and headlight markers/turn signals. Made sure all the wires/plugs were in the correct spot on the cannon plug. Did point to point testing on both Driver and passenger fender harnesses. Plus made sure my pin outs were correct, I'll make a digital version of those too.

Moved the fuel filter down lower on the firewall, need to get an SS bolt. I would have done the rail to filter line but I couldn't find the fittings and didn't feel like gutting the car. PS high and low lines run under the frame rail, just need to cut them and connect it all up. Running without a PS cooler for now. Overall motor shot, getting closer, just need a couple more things.

I vote for through the frame rail, surface mounted sounds like too much work to protect it from possible damage.
My PS line relocation worked very well when I used the high pressure braided hose. I might still go this route. I didn't have my jack to actually look at routing it through the frame. One thing I will credit Subaru's for is their fuel and brake lines are ran through the cabin and grommets if and when I do mine, I'll be taking that path. Not sure I like that, if you ever have a leak it's in the car. My fuel lines are all braided nylon so I'm not too worried about them. I'd like to use ni-copp line for my brakes but I've got this line hear already.

That's why secure the lines and insulate them to keep vibrations from springing a leak.
I see, still it sits odd with me. I just wouldn't like either line running through the cabin. More then just subaru did that. And never have any leaked internal of the cabin. Only the exposed bits ever rotted out. Everything rots out here, just a matter of time lol. Thanks!
