Well for referance.. my tires on them are 215/40r17. They rim is a full inch from the shock so tire clearanc is no problem no mater what size I go. But if you can imagine.. An 8 inch rim with 1inch clearance from the strut.. puts the fender lip over the tire. So crimping my fender lip will do nothing for me.
