I was looking at a thread on tuners a while back and it sparked a picture I remembered I had in my "vault of cool DSMs pictures" (yes there is such a thing tongue ) Couldn't find it before, but finally found it today!

Figured I'd share:

[Linked Image]

It works amazingly well with a 1ga, not so sure about the 1gb, as I always felt the 1gb was more a friendly face (front wise) so wouldn't work well with fender flares. Fender flares usually look good on aggressive looking cars, hence the angular 1ga laugh Enjoy!

I like the fender flares, I was actually trying to dig up this picture after seeing deeps post. I think I may look at doing some flares, and the ones on this car a just the right amount. Anyone know what car they are for?

I will say this is one of my favorite 1gs, most of the things that were done to this car were for performance enhancement. I would also love to know what front bumper that is!

Yeah that looks sweet. I really like the flares on all dsms. I'm getting them on my new talon for sure. I'm just debating if I should mold them into the body and spray it the same color as the car or have the rugged look and leave it flat black with the screws.

Any Suggestions ?

This is the 2g one.

Not sure what car those are for unfortunately. Most are universal kits that are trimmed to fit custom. Front bumper is nice, I have to admit, but it does remind me vividly of a fat kit with his cheeks bloated with food whistle

Personally on a 2g, I'd rather see the fenders rolled instead of the fender flares, but that's just me. The body lines for that car speak for themselves, no need to add extra plastic.

LOL. well after reading that thread you posted this pic in, it seems they are 240 flares. As for the bumper I guess I will continue my search. It actually looks a lot like my old rear bumper

I just noticed this is apparently Brampton DSM o'clock; a time where Bramptonians gather to talk about the illusive DSM beast lol

Yeah Im leaning towards molded. When you want to do it ? Id like to bring the car out before it goes into complete teardown for winter project.

Thats a tough one... I suppose it all depends what look you're going for. A more streamline or an aggressive look. If your car is black, then I'd say just slap them on there and call it a day (or even red. AHEM ROB)
Any other colour perhaps mould them. Regardless, I'd really like to see a mounded set.

Can you actually roll your fenders THAT much?!

so THATS why my car always breaks down... I'm not cooling the timing belt. rotflmao
But really, that car looks pretty damn sweet. This is the only DSM I've ever seen that I don't mine the aftermarket rear spoiler.

Well that one specifically is a 420A so the vent in the bump is actually functional as it goes to the intake smile

Im thinking about this kit just for the sides. Run stock Front 2gb Eclipse and Rear 2gb Eclipse bumpers. A aftermarket Lip on the front bumper.

What you guys think. I personally hate body kits but I think if this one done clean on the 2g will look nice.

Ya if you want your car to look like a transformer, lol, honestly I havent seen a body kit I like yet for a 2g.

A front lip, and some molded OEM skirts are about as clean as it gets for my tastes.

Look into Aircraft Gas caps. You'll need to do some moulding and some fab work, but it can look amazing.

To solve your custom and gas tank problem not to interfere with the exterior mods:

As for the idea of doing something different tu ! Do what you want to, it's your car after all, not anybody else.

In terms of shaving the handles or getting them to look flush?

You said you want to use the stock GSX spoiler with a wider body? IMO I think it will look gimpy and way too small. Westwing makes a very similar spoiler that I think might flow better with the wide body.

That link doesn't open. I want to keep it as stock and widebody as possible. I was even looking at using 2gb sideskirts but I dont think it will work and will mess up the lines.

Edit: That kit the red one has is the same kit with some modifications. I don't like how that looks though.
