Drive side is completely repaired. Wheel wells were sprayed with Undercoating. I also paint the suspension a bit too to pretty it up. I didn't get pictures though. The white stuff is seam sealer that I hadn't painted over.

The passenger side, well, we hit a small snag. I didn't get pictures because I was too busy working but there's some rust in the unibody/frame. I've patched it for now but I'm gonna look for a new shell in a couple of years once school is done and what not. I'll still be doing the Evo 3 16G and seeing just how hard I can push that little turbo.
I also ran out of sheet metal so I didn't finish the passenger side yet.

I got the dash back in!

I need to replace some of the wiring harnesses for my Prosport gauges (crappy quality) and figure out what I have wired up wrong in my tach converter but other then that everything works great. Oh, my water themp gauge needs to be hooked up, I've got the wire ran but didn't get a chance to change out my T-stat housing.

WBO2, Tru Boost Gauge Type Boost controller, water temp, oil temp and pressure, fuel pressure and volts.

I'm sure some are redundent but I like them. I will eventually have all AEM Digital.

Thanks guys!
I'm actually only going to run door panels, dash, carpet and a head liner for a bit lol I don't really care about getting the rest of the interior dyed and back in yet, I don't need it to drive it.

Should have almost all the parts I need from Ziggy this week then I just need to wait on new sender to gauge harnesses from Prosport and she'll be driveable.

Thanks!
It's an AEM Tru Boost, it's a gauge and electronic boost controller in one unit. I really like it, responds much better then the crappy Pro Sport gauge I had at first.

Received a box of parts from Ziggy @ RTM Racing today.
[Linked Image]

I picked up TB Gaskets (elbow and IM side), IM gasket, SS Evo3 O2 housing gasket, oil drain gasket and crush washers, Rear O2 sensor plug, new OEM knock sensor, EGR block off plate and 1/8" NPT plug (to block off the EGR port in the head).

While I was checking this all out the only thing going through Gizmo's mind was 'Is it time for a walk?'

Got a little bit of stuff done, Evo 3 16G is rebuilt. I'm going to be running the 14B Turbine housing so I can get the almost blown 14B off. Rebuilding the turbo wasn't too hard at all.
Turbine wheel with new bearing ready to go back into the housing.
[Linked Image]

Compressor side rebuilt and ready for the compressor wheel.
[Linked Image]

Compressor wheel back on.
[Linked Image]

I just need to torque the compressor nut to 100 inch pounds, borrowing a torque wrench to do that tomorrow night.

I also picked up some OEM stuff I needed.
[Linked Image]

Screws for the side skirts, plugs for the firewall and the hole in the floor where where the rear O2 sensor use to go through, bushings from my shifter assyembly, side skirt clips (had a couple broken and broke a few more when removing the skirts), 1/8" NPT to house barb fitting and the Honda part is an Antenna plug orginial for an Integra Type R.
I've got more stuff on the way, I'll update once it's all here.

I decided to chop the spare tire well out of my car. It was rusty and crappy so it was time to go. I replaced it with a sheet of 1/8" thick aluminum.
[Linked Image]

Old rusty wheel well.
[Linked Image]

New aluminum floor in place, it's held in with self taping screws and sealed with silicone. I still need to clean it up and finish under coating the bottom (ran out of under coating with a small section left to spray still). I'm likely going to leave the aluminum bare on top because I like the look.
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Next part that I moved on to scared me the most simply because I viewed it as a tough job. I was scared I was going to screw up my car. However I took my time, made a plan of attack and I'm pleased with the how it turned out.
My rusty lower rad support.
[Linked Image]

Chopped out and on the ground, you can see why I had to replace it.
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Then I started to fit in the new piece.
[Linked Image]
[Linked Image]

Then I welded it in. I added some 1/8" flat bar on top of the other welds to add some support and give a bit more strength to the repair.

[img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/G2Rac/96%20Talon%20TSI%20AWD/Body%20Work/IMGP2237.jpg[/img]

I also finished the passenger side rocker. I still ran out of seam sealer and need a bit more to finish it all up. I'll do that next time and remount both side skirts.
[img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/G2Rac/96%20Talon%20TSI%20AWD/Body%20Work/IMGP2243.jpg[/img]

Lastly, I put the new hatch on the car. I still need to do some filler work on it and the front bumper then paint them but the end is within sight.
[img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/G2Rac/96%20Talon%20TSI%20AWD/Body%20Work/IMGP2239.jpg[/img]
[img]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/G2Rac/96%20Talon%20TSI%20AWD/Body%20Work/IMGP2240.jpg[/img]

In another couple of weeks I'll go out and do the small mechanical stuff I need to do, paint the bumper and hatch and then she'll be ready to drive again.

You should probably get that turbo balanced if you want it to last a while.

On a side note, what a ton of work you've done on a car that most would have taken out to the pasture. It has really come along.

LOL, would that really make it unsafe though? Wouldn't surprise me in Ontario. I've got CAA so if I do get a flat I'll get a tow.

If there was any where I could find here in NL that balances turbos then I'd have it done.

Yep, as far as I know it's part of the safety standards at least in Ontario. But it's OK, we use CAA instead. The spare won't fit over my front brakes anyways!

Hmm, well you learn something new every day. However, like I said it's not a surprise that it's part of the safety thing in Ontario haha.

I was thinking of doing the exact same thing to my spare tire hole. Mine is getting a couple soft spots. I was going to make a flat piece to go right across. I like it. I am going to get on that one this week.

The 4G63 motor code is street shorthand for dominance. It's automotive Darwinism

Soon soon, I'm itching to drive it though. I fired it up this weekend, I love that lumpy HKS idle! I'm nervous about leaving it running without the Oil Pressure gauge hooked up but the new sender harness is here now. Another solid weekend of work and some painting and she'll be ready.

I like it so far. I'm gonna leave the carpet out when the interior goes back in so it'll be a little bit of bling lol
Use aluminum if you can since it's lighter then sheet metal. However aluminum is pricey.

Put an amber LED strip in my HVAC controls so it matches everything else.

Gutted the air bag out of my steering wheel.

Also received the last parts I need to get the car back on the road. All I need now is stuff I can get locally, just consumables like paint, RTV, etc.
First is the new harnesses for my Oil Pressure and Temp gauges, they threw in the daisy chain power wire and an air freshener.

I heard a lot of good reviews from fellow DSMers about Brake Labs/R1 Concepts rotors so I pick up 4 coated and slotted for around $200 shipped which is a good price imo.

From Ziggy @ RTM Racing I picked up 5 litres of Brad Penn 10W40 oil, a new stubby K&N filter, some exhaust gaskets and a 2.5" flange. I'm going to use the flange to try and space my DP so it bolts up correctly.

Also from Ziggy care of Jay Racing, a bumper dump wastegate kit thingy. Bling Bling!
[Linked Image]

The last piece of the puzzle from Chris D aka Gixerman on the Link forums, the 2G quick release bumper kit. No more screwing with the splash shields and those damn bolts hidden behind them, a quick turn of the Dzus fasteners and the bumper is off!

I know some people don't want to say, but how much do you have into this car so far?

That bumper disconnect kit is fracking gold! I bought one for my 96 AWD and it takes me under 3 minutes to remove my bumper. I take it off just for the hell of it now.
