I don't know how many people that are cruising will be racing.. I'm up for changing the times and open to any suggestions. There's a lot more "padding" than last year's, but if you think it's not enough.. Maybe we roll back the start by an hour and a half, and add 15 minutes to the stop-over at Stoney Creek? Milton to Stoney Creek via SCENIC - Meet 8:30 AM, Depart 9:00 AMStoney Creek to Cayuga via HWY 56 - Meet 10:30 AM, Depart 11:15 PMThat'll put us at the track by 12:30. Poor, groggy Bellevillites...

I think the Belleville crew is going to consist of a couple of guys from Kingston, Eric and Myself. I feel confident in saying we don't mind leaving uber early at all. If we have to leave for 6AM, that shouldn't be a problem, meeting at Yorkdale for 7:30, and at Milton by 8:30-9AM.

^^^ Looks like it, great planning guys! My preference would have been keep track days as track days and cruise days for cruising. Though we could still cruise to the track and watch the motorcycle mayhem. Might look kind of odd with all the DSMs there, but nothing wrong with it I feel PPG and Steve, if I was racing, I would be there for 9am. Maybe next time plan a cruise somewhere else, bbq chill out and sh!t!

Yea a nice big park where we can all cruise to, park our cars, bbq, , beers, just hang out and shoot the sh!t! Best part is there won't be any failures from racing, and we will have a cooler place to hang out for the day, instead of the race track where there is no shade. opinions ???

Well since Bronte Creek is in Halton Region, alcohol is prohibited. Prudes. I think it will be the same for any park in the area, lest we stray from the current route a lot. Day fee is $16 per vehicle. Reserving a shelter is $150. This whole thing got so complicated Ryan you can leave your soon-to-be-married eyes at home, thanks, no looking. You made your choice.

Isn't spectating at a T&T $10 per person?
$16/car isn't much different, and may even save some people a couple bucks.
I was hoping to go racing that day (REALLY hoping) but since I can't now, I'll cruise to wherever you guys want to go..
With it being so close to "the day" I would suggest changeing the route/schedule as little as possible.
Anyone know of anything in the Cayuga/Haldimand area that may work?
Or, if you want to cut down the driving for some, meeting in the middle would work well. I'm up for Bronte.
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

I'm in for $16. I wasn't racing either, going to school the following weekend, and need my car, wasn't going to risk breaking it.

Here's the info: http://www.brontecreek.org/bronte-creek-picnicking-facilities.htmNo reservation needed, first come first serve for a shelter otherwise we may be a bit spread out at picnic tables but that should be OK anyhow. B.Y.O.__ New route will be posted by tomorrow, starting at both ends (Milton / Stoney Creek) and converging at Bronte Creek Provincial Park. We'll leave from Milton at 10:30 AM as in the original plan. Should be about the same time leaving Stoney Creek but we'll know once the new route is done. Oh and BIG THANKS to Henry Dien for pointing out the little problem with Cayuga Saved us from a lot of suck.

From Belleville to Milton; We are meeting at Yorkdale mall behind Sears at 8:30ish. Plan is to leave by 9:00AM to meet Rob and the rest of the crew in Milton. I know its not that long of a drive, but we're going to leave some buffer. Once again, Belleville crew is meeting at the Trenton Glen Miller Road (Exit 526) Tim Hortons at 7AM, leaving at 7:15 no later, so anyone who is meeting us there (Kingston/Ottawa) be sure to note the timings. Also, one last thing; I'm going to be getting some video of the cruise and plan on putting together a video for it, so if you see a video camera, don't be shy to "show off" a bit within legal limits.

August 21, 2010 DSM INVASION 2010 BBQ - UPDATED MAPS & ITINERARYThere will be NO track day at Cayuga since the Aug. 21 test & tune was cancelled. See above re. barbeque. B.Y.O.__Route A: Milton Canadian Tire to Bronte Creek Provincial Park - Meet 10:00 AM, Depart 10:30 AM, 32 km, 43 minutes Starting point is the west parking lot (Indigo book store) at the Canadian Tire plaza in Milton, right beside the water tower at Esquesing Line. North-west of the James Snow Pkwy 401 Exit. Route B: Stoney Creek Tim Horton's to Bronte Creek Provincial Park - Meet 10:15 AM, Depart 10:45 AM, 30.7 km, 29 minutes Sorry the route is not very interesting but I just don't know Hamilton well enough. Open to suggestions. Everyone please follow proper cruise etiquette. This means you are to keep track of the car behind you. If you lose sight of the car behind you, slow down or pull over so they can catch up. It's not a race, so lets try to keep together If you have FRS radios, please bring them. We'll use channel 3, or channel 6 as an alternate.

I also know of a decent conservastion area out my way with picknick tables, volleyball, an alright beech, tons of room to park, only like 2 bucks to get in, alc probably easy to get in if you want. Never been to bronte tho so up to you guys as I have no idea what we re dealing with. edit: and this way I dont have to hurry my as to milton, and the people of hamilton wont get left out.

PROPOSED DESTINATION B: http://maps.google.ca/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Tim+Hortons+HWY20+at+Mud&daddr=Bronte+Creek+Provincial+Park&hl=en&geocode=FV0FkwIdnNA--w%3B&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=16&sll=43.40709,-79.769754&sspn=0.009088,0.013776&ie=UTF8&ll=43.313188,-79.768982&spn=0.291273,0.440826&z=11 forgot to mention they have barbecue type fire pits Now forgive me I think I have the right Can tire and Timmy s. Needs fine tuning on your end, to avoid the toll road, and have a nice cruise. From the timmmys, I can lead the way and get a few of the nicer curvy and empty country roads SO doesnt matter to me just another option, make a poll if you want I dunno.

Damn eh, I do not have a fast enough comp for these sort of things. Its called binbrook conservation area, its on harrison road, couldnt find an adress, but shouldnt be a big road, I found it by just typing binbrook conservation area. Do what you d like with this information Like I said I d just think it d work out better to have hamilton and everyone else meet up for a drive, but I dont know who plans on meeting in hamilton still...

We have the times to be there at, sub-caravans can plan their own thing locally, please keep it out of this thread so it doesn't get confusing. August 21, 2010 DSM INVASION 2010 BBQ - UPDATED MAPS & ITINERARY There will be NO track day at Cayuga since the Aug. 21 test & tune was cancelled. See above re. barbeque. B.Y.O.__

Those are the 2 routes Rob has planned and for the sake of keeping things simple, everyone knows where to meet.
