Since this is a highly sought after link, I figured I'd sticky it here. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/art...d-shop-vacuum-diagram-removal-1g-2g.htmlHere's a link as to why you SHOULDN'T remove emissions, credit to our very own Tim Grech for this one. http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/articles-engine-fuel/224901-emissions-101-a.html#post50342708Enjoy!

You need something like 4 vacuum lines in your car.
IM - FPR IM - BOV Compressor outlet to Wastegate IM - Brake Booster.

Yes, yes it will.
Unless you can "tune" it out. There are guys who have run/passed E-Test with only a cat. A properly working cat is the big point in passing an E-Test.

I got a question regarding the removal of the emission canister: Should the fuel line be plugged after removal from the canister?

No, let it vent to the air. That relieves excess pressure to the tank.

Our EGRs are held closed by boost and vacuum. If you are removing your EGR, it must be blocked off or the car will run like sh!t.

Now that you mention it and I think about that, I guess since the EGR works off vaccum, if you were to pull the hoses it would stay closed. Blocking it just takes the valve out of the equation, in case it's stuck.
Ohh Ryan there's more to it? Without the boost holding it closed, it will open from the manifold pressure?

Hmmm... could have sworn our EGRs were held closed under vacuum, which is why when you remove the vacuum lines to the EGR, it will be left open. It's been a long time since I've had this come up, so I may be a bit rusty. It's got to be blocked off if you aren't using it. It's a big boost leak if it's installed without the vaccum lines hooked up. So either reconnect the vaccum hoses or block it off completely.
