Just to add to that;
I bought my AWD in February and the seller put the date of purchase on the UVIP. I didn't have it on the road until April, however the MTO just ripped the bottom portion off and didn't care about the date.
They aren't going to tell you that you can't register your car because you had a few hiccups in the "Mandatory" 10 registration. The date doesn't matter to them.
I've owned 3 cars in the past 2 years, never had a problem with the date of purchase.
