Saturday was excellent weather and couldn't help but go down to Cayuga for the afternoon. Evo 3 16g, stock motor (no cams), 650cc, big FMIC, water/meth, and other supporting mods. Best slip was : 60' 1.663 330 4.957 1/8 7.634 MPH 89.70 1000 9.927 1/4 11.851 MPH 117.47 I even backed it up with another 11.93 second pass, also a 12.1. I could not increase boost past 25-26 psi with the standard turbo xs boost controller I had. Time for me to upgrade to some HKS cams, and a better boost controller and try to get near mid 11's on the 16g! My wife got a video of all the runs, but the files are quite big. Had no problems with the car, ran great, 0 knock on all runs, 22-24 degrees timing till redline. I just need more boost and cams and I am pretty sure it'll go faster

WOW! Makes me hopeful for this summer, as I have the same mods! The meth makes a heck of a difference eh?
Great job man!

I'm freaking jealous. Last year the best time I got was 14.3. I'm running pretty much the same set up except I DO have HKS cams and 9:1 pistons.

You bastard!! You beat me to it!
Congrats!
FWIW: I found I made the same HP at 24 psi as 27psi with the E316G. I honestly believe anything over 24-25 just puts it into a too inefficient range.
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Haha, sorry I had to, car is running good and Saturday was too tempting because of the weather. Also weren't many people there as I expected. I am running Sunoco 94 and water/meth as Kevin said. Eibach Sportlines and KYB/AGX, 17" ADR rims on General Exclaim UHP tires! I think I can get a better 60 foot with lower tire pressure, I was running 32 psi all around which is what I run on the street. Wheels spin all through first with the stutterbox. Basically I wanted to see what the car ran on the same street setup with full interior and spare tire. I think with cams I can get some more MPH out of it. For fuel control I have the VPC/AFC and DSMCHIPS stage 3 chip.

1.6 with 32psi of Tire pressure is good.
Drop them down to 22/25psi and let her rip.
Keep us informed.

Your 60' times are what nailed it for you. 1.6 60' are something to be proud of. Now try some stickier rubber and preloading your drivetrain and a 1.4 might be attainable. Agreed, but I'll bet that he breaks stuff when he does that though. The center diff will be the first culprit. 117mph out of a 16G on a full weight car is impressive too.

Trust me, I have had my share of broken center diff's over the years and after every pass I check to see if I have broken it. That was the only thing I was worried about as I am still running a stock diff. I just haven't gotten around to upgrading to a 4 spider.
I do know how to break it, and how the car feels when you break it. Almost all the time it will break if you start to wheel hop and don't back off. Other than that, I just let the clutch out slightly to take up the slack, and then just go, which gives me some nice wheel spin, and no broken diff.
Wheel hop and no backing off = broken diff. The tranny in my car is perfect still and I am still looking for someone who can make one for me with the extra guts and cores I have lying around, instead of forking out the $$$ for a new one.

So you think your fast eh! Wanna race?
I know you came over to my place yesterday to celebrate, but I thought I'd give you a public CONGRATS on your accomplishment! I knew you had it in ya! I've always said your car was a freak! I know your time has lots of guys questioning their set-ups right now.....I love it. LOL, yea I know what it takes to run 11's now, I could have tried some more to go faster, but after the 11 second pass, the wife told me to pack it up and lets "drive" home today. So I backed it up and called it a day. I knew the car had it in it, and if I didn't hit 11's on the 16g there was either something wrong with me or my toonin. Kev, I know your building a 10 sec car, but you gotta run 11's first, you can use me as a benchmark now!

Steve, I am using MMCD and have 4 logs saved on my palm. I am just having some issues syncing it with the computer, once I figure it out I'll send them to you.

Stutterbox launches, and I only lift on the 1-2 shift, NLTS on the rest. The only reason I lifted on the 1-2 is because the stutterbox would not activate fast enough, as it is wired to the switch at the bottom of the throw. Once I have it wired to the cruise control switch, my right foot ain't coming off the gas.
