So, today, I had to once again listen, as Steve stirred the pot, then Mark stuck his candy-coated-carbon-fibre ass in the mix, and it just got annoying. So, I thought I'd better dig up this thread again. It's much more fun, when everyone can abuse Mark and Steve together.

So, Steve is once again claiming "computer-based code monkey HP" gains for his "super secret squirrel" technology on his intake.
Something about 25 hp over Mark, at the wheels.
In the mean time, Mark is installing 300lbs of amps, subs, etc, and turning down the boost.
No wonder Steve is faster now...

Actually, I'm currently claiming 1.3HP worth of acceleration LESS than RRG. However, I think we ALL know my driving will MORE than make up for that. (Or rather, HIS driving won't let him win with that...) Not to mention, I was running that with the cyclone butterflies closed the entire pull. I should have more data today. I'm also sure I'll let you guys know about it. So, what's your best time Andy?? Please, give us a time with the car making it to the finish unbroke, will ya? Super Secret Squirrel will rule the WORLD!
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

No no no.... got that fixed ages ago, but thanks for asking. Had to do that right away, the Koi were complaining.
But, Mark... at least Steve is current. His data is current. We're making changes today, to be faster tomorrow, and not resting on our laurels.
Take a look at your 11 second timeslip... the ink fades over time, as does the glory. When are you going to back that up?
Shouldn't we have some sort of rule about keeping times like that current, if you want braging rights?
I mean, you don't hear Buschur crowing today, about his RWD runs, and they were awesome.
"What have you done for me lately, Eddie!"

"Code Monkey"d and coached his driving. Ask RRG who explained how to cut 3 tenths off his time by simply shifting when he SHOULD. Now, if we could only get him shifting as FAST as he SHOULD. Musta been 12.8 something, andy, 'cause I know the Uber Mongoose Money Pit hasn't beaten the Ghetto Rocket.

Ya but that's 117 FWD MPH. It's like dog years. To get your equivalent AWD MPH you have to divide that by like 7.

Why Steve? Just how fast is the Ghetto Junket these days? Aren't you running mid-11's? The reason I have no clue precisely, is that all of my runs, were tuning attempts, and 12's weren't the goal anyhow. So, anything less than the RRG, was pretty much ignored. At the time, you will recall... He hadn't yet backed up the 11 we helped him get. You showed him when to shift, I showed him where to launch from.

HE doesn't have to remove anything. He gets MY sorry ass to do that. (I just leave him stranded to put it all back together. ) Actually, Andy, he DID back-up that 11. He made a few 11 sec. runs one day at Cayuga while you were cleaning your workbench last year. When he finally got the balls to shift at 8K. Ghetto Junket has a best of 12.6 on pump so far. (I think you got a 12.8 on race gas, no??) ALL "tuning" runs? so, you mean to tell me that since 2001, you've never even made a good pass? Wow. I'd stay out of THIS thread if I were you. It's only for those of us who actually race. For anyone who cares: it appears leaving the cyclone butterflies closed will rob you of at least 15HP at the wheels. 15 - 1.3 = 13.7 hmmmmm....

Actually, that was the car's first day at the track, in 4 years, if you recall. Fuel everywhere, and then the "famous DSM fabricator's" welds let go, and the WG dropped to the floor.

Actually, you're car WAS quicker. I'm faster. What does the Rainbow Racer run NOW that you've added 100lbs of junk to it? I'll bet it's not 12.1's on pump anymore. Let's go back to how this thread first started, shall we?? I couldn't beat your E.T. in the FWD, so I would just spank you on the highway. By comparing our trap speeds, now I can do it in the AWD, too. One good run does not make you a BETTER driver. It made you a LUCKY one. Let's look again at your usual performance shall we? 111 MPH to get a 12.6 I was quicker with only 106 MPH. Back then, I could beat you at the track, but you'd walk me on the highway. Now, I've proven I can beat you on the highway, AND at the track. You're BEST E.T. may be quicker than mine, but one battle doesn't win the war. Does it? You're still the loser here. I finally got to the point where I can beat you EVERYWHERE. Now, let's look at what I DON'T need to do thaT: I don't need a SMIM. I don't need a 3" downpipe. I don't need a test pipe. I don't need a set of 272s. I don't need a VPC. I don't need to lower my tire pressure. (That's right, I don't just race "pump gas". I race in "street trim". None of your playing with tire pressures, etc. I pull in, I tech, I race.) I'm no math teacher, but I'm pretty sure if you add all that up. You're a loser. A big purple loser, at that. Edit: Crap!! I just realised, there's MORE stuff I don't need: I don't need a 20G. I don't need an external wastegate. I don't need 660cc injectors.
Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

Hold on there Mr magical math. First of all, other than that stoopid video you keep linking to, you've only beaten me a "few" times for one reason or another. So what? I'm far from perfect My point remains, I'm still faster. You wanna run an 11, STFU and spend some money on a test pipe, or some race gas. If you wanna be cheap that's your problem. If you wanna beat me, then step up bitch Here's what you need to remember. Aside from the SMIM I have done NOTHING to the car in years. EVERYTHING from the 20g to the VPC is old school. Could I rebuild a faster car for cheaper now, HELL yes. Am I gonna go out and buy MORE stuff for the car, hell no. At least not until you beat me You started building this car only a couple of years ago. Have things changed in the DSM world since I bought all my stuff 5-10 years ago? I think so. And as I told you tonight, I found some old notes from the weigh scales on the 407 from a couple of years ago. the weight hasn't really changed. It's still a big fat pig, but it's still faster than you. Peckerhead

Beating you I can do. It's beating you EVERY time that I haven't mastered yet. Kinda like golf... not EVERY hole can be your best one. Sure, stuff has changed, but that doesn't change the fact that I can get more for less. I'm not talking $$ here, I'm talking equipment. I'm not running anything "new school" that you're not. Unless 2.5" downpipes, and cats are considered new, and improved, DSM mods. Oh, wait.. maybe you mean the intake manifold I'm using that's older than your car? Now, go follow your rainbow to that man-filled hot tub on the other side.

Member number 1, was me. Mark and Steve were right there in the top 3 too. Problem was, one day in the very early days of the UBB, the member database got corrupted, and for a few hours one morning, it started overwriting members from #1 onward. Adam happened to re-apply that morning, so he got #3. By the time I found it, we were up to #10. It was easier at the time, to just correct the problem, and leave the results. The other 8 below #10, disappeared over time. PS: You're both slow.

... me getting an 11 on pump before either of you clowns. Shouldn't be too hard... one of you doesn't know how to line up a crank sprocket, and the other can't set base fuel pressure. I'll save the sh!t talking for Sunday night. When you won't be able to stop me.
