The one good thing is bu the time you get the car running you won't hve to worry about an E-test or anything like that, I think after 20 year's or so you don't need one, maybe you can get some of those historic vehicle plate's as well. Oh Snap! I was not expecting that! And for the record let me just clear up a few things! First of all Tim, my car " runs" just fine! It just doesn't move anywhere! Also, I've only powdercoated the rear swaybar, I would call it more along the lines of "sandblastitis". And I've only broken a few things, which are getting replaced! I don't know where you are getting all this smack talking courage from! Mr. "I'm running a 16g on my stroker"! And who does a performance rebuild on an engine and then doesn't even take it to the track to see what kind of numbers it puts down! Until you can post something concrete you probably shouldn't be in this thread either!!

Steve, you'll laugh even harder when you read Tim's post here:

I can't talk though, I don't belong in this thread. I have terrible time slips still.

Yes Noah, I'm well aware of that thread! That's one of the main reasons I had to point that out! And although I really shouldn't defend him after his smack-talking above, it is basically just acting as a placeholder on his car! haha!

Damn, I was hoping that post would never resurface, but I guess I can lump myself in with Kinnard and Mike J "eating crow", I blame Dennis C for offering to buy my 2.0l Ross piston's while I was out west, then a brank new crankshaft became avalible, and some Eagle rod's. The rest is history shal we say. What I can say is: 1-The car isn't getting driven as much with the move to K/W, and if the 2.3 last's more than 10-12,000km then it is doing better than the 2.0L that was in there. 2-I will not retract my other previous statement though, the 16G IS TOO DAMN SMALL. Unfortunately Turbo plan's were put on hold when it was discovered that not only was the block toast but according to Marco the previous head rebuild appeared to have been done by a "monkey". The 2.3 is a hoot, will not make a good drag car, spools a 16G like a T-25, in fact it behave's like one, as well. But the fact of the matter is I have driven a DSM described as "So stock it hurt's" faster than either you Noah or Steve U have gone, I may not be fast as some of the other's But I am faster than the two of you. And Noah, my injector's are bigger than your's.

You're in KW now? Nice, you should come over for a beer sometime with your lady.
And yes, your injectors are twice the size of mine. I still have the 450s in and the 750s still in the box they came in. They are sitting right beside the Denso 260 pump and the spot where I keep my aeromotive AFPR which is in Nate's car right now. They are also keeping the new pistons company as well along with a couple of autometer gauges.
EDIT: I've just recently added a Greddy Type S BOV to that shelf. I might have to free up a second shelf for all my upgrades that I never install.
Tim, you can make fun of my time slips all you want, but my car was only out of commission for 6 weeks while I got my 6 bolt. I have over 250k kms on it now, can you say the same?

ROTFLMAO..... Yes! You've stumbled into my secret lair... now I'll have to kill you! TOO MUCH! Yes, and actually... here's the view on the other side of the tree: We might have to move the starting tower over a bit, but we certainly have the runout, and shade for the starter...

Never mind assembly, your car is 4 years older than mine, so that point is moot. The car now has a few hours on it, so let's see how long it takes me to get an 11... and then we'll talk.

On another note (after looking at the reflection from your Zaino thread), Andy is that a Tree (not the nature kind) in your Garage?! What have you been doing, sitting there when the car wasn't running, pretending to turn it on and launch!? But I'll admit, the "Club DSM Canada" on the wall is pretty cool!

The Mrs. painted that banner on the wall for me years ago. She's awesome. Although, she balked at the "ho on the hood" contest... And yes, it's a tree... I picked up one of those practice/demo units cheap, and it can fire a whole tree, so I built a tree for it. Sean loves to play with the lights... and it makes for a fun drinking game on the back porch.

Hey Steven, want to see how cool my wife is? After the wall banner, she made this, to keep the car warm and cozy.... Complete with a purple racing pinstripe down the one side.

That's awesome Andrew! Stops it from getting as dirty as mine has sitting in the garage! And the wall banner definitely looks great when you can see it correctly in a picture that isn't a reflection! On another note, is your garage floor carpeted or just coated?!

I debated carpet, tile, and even hardwood... but in the end, just decent floor paint from Home Depot. You get colour choice, so I went with a red clay brick. It looks good, as long as you don't let fellow club members spray brake cleaner all over it. What you can't see from that angle, is the coffee maker, beer fridge, heater, or air conditioner. (and I would be remiss, not to point out the racing car curtains she made as well) You guys need to all drop in for a beer...

Well for crying out loud Andrew, if I had your garage I don't think I'd ever be done working on my car either! I'd probably never leave it except for supplies to stock the beer fridge and coffee maker! And yah, there should be a ca.dsm.org beer-drinking gathering in your climate controlled garage! Except that I have no idea where Binbrook is and am guessing it's a good distance from where I am! haha!
