All I know is that I'm bringing some race gas to the next event PPG goes to so that I can beat his slow-shifting ass into the 11s pimp .

Hey guys,

Can we take this abuse into Waldo's thread for a couple of days?

A few more posts in there, and we can hire someone to drive Mark's car into the 11's...
...likely on a trailer, cuz there's no way it'll ever happen with him driving!

Welp, I just came from Andy's today....

All I can say is WOW. That workbench is dirty! Its so dirty it will be at least another year before he even thinks about working on the car.

Good thing is though...He bought one of those dragstrip launching tree lights. Just so his car can remember what they look like

From what I saw, you should be spending a little more time with that tree than Andy should...

Oh I didn't say Andy needs to spend time on the tree...

And besides, being good with your fingers will only impress your wife (or yourself)

Hmm who will be the person to beat PPG into the 11's this year, probably hmm I wonder if I can get a 16G to faster than a 20G?
Mike cmon step up if yo have learned how to launch yet, Kinnard ? nah rust isn't fast.
Bet it will be the 2G's running over the 1G's

Okay I''ll do my best.

Don't worry about Waldo's thread, it may catch this one in post counts but it's no where close in quality of posts.

True... I mean compare it with:

It's like this is the real thread and the other is the Josh Stephenson version wink Lots and lots of posts just not a whole lot of content.

Mike, I just went from long time FWDer to AWD. Put 1000km on the car and still haven't tried to launch it. Kinda scared to tell you the truth; but come mid-season, I'll be rockin'... hopefully. Did you try to launch it like the FWD or what? How long did it take for you to change your mind-frame?

For you and your 2g, how hard can it be? Throw the studderbox on, maybe some anti-lag, peg the gas pedal, slip the clutch a bit then dump the rest once you get moving.

FWD takes talent and an insane about of launches to even get close to a 2.2 60ft w/o slicks or radials. Open diff FWD, Z-rated tires suck.

I have no brain to train. wink

The thing that makes the BIGGEST difference... Don't use the starter kill switch. (wink, nudge, hint) Do it right, and it's easy as pie.

Unless you're ppg . Then, it doesn't matter what you try.

I also have DSMLink V2 so I have the antilag available to me but it's just one of those things that I haven't brought myself to install. My car is a commuter and I don't want to ruin it. I rely on it to much still.

I'm with Rob as well. My car has low 13s in it, but the dumb ass in the seat has high 13s and low 14s in him so far. ppg knows the feeling.

Rob, I'm hoping to help your cash flow a bit this winter, but time will tell. Depends on what direction I take this car.

You don't need to install the clutch cut wire to get anti lag at launch. I use my anti lag to scare off tail gaters on my commute to and from work.

Well after a "few" years of trying and an entire thread of "I am gonna hit 11's before so and so"

PPG Finally hit 11\'s

Mark I would post a timeslip or a video fast before doubters start with the silly questions.

Ummm.... no.

Actually, you never DID back up that 11.

AND... I DO believe me beating you to the end of the strip counts as me doing exactly what I said I would. Kick yer ass with a smaller turbo, and slower car.

ANYONE can BUY an 11 sec slip.. Some of us prefer to WORK for our wins though. tongue

Actually, I backed up the time with a 12.65. Notice... WELL WITHIN the .1 sec. guidline.

Had the left lane NOT been shut down, I'm sure I would have walked you repeatedly.

I'm not even going to get into the .22 seconds I beat you to the end by. You're reaction times are almost as bad as your shift times. Although, I guess it's not YOUR fault. You ARE much older than I.

You're absolutely right. I beat you. With a MUCH smaller turbo, a lot less mods in general, and probably ~100 less HP.

Good for me. bird

I've never said your car sucked. Just you.

LOL ok.

If I recall though, you got slower and slower as the day went on. I even BOUGHT you racegas and you went slower. You backed up your 12.6 absolutely, but you said you would BEAT me into the 11's.

I on the other hand, got faster all day. and the 12.044 I ran is close enough to a backed up run for me ppg

either way, I'm still faster...than all you **** talkers (even if we drop the 11 second pass)
Sure... if we put best E.T. vs best E.T.

HOWEVER, lets average them out, and THEN take into account who usually wins "heads up".

You're car has more HP, and will run a better E.T. than mine.

You still can't beat me in a race though.

Talk "stats" all you want, you wimp. We both know that I beat you to the end. (regularly).

It looks like I *DID* shut him up. (and down, at the track.)

He's been flapping his lips insistintly for years, and as soon as I mention video proof of me beating him (even though he's "faster") he dissappears.

Must be trying to find some other part to add on to try and make up for his lack of skill.

Too bad I didn't find that extra few psi of boost at the track. I would have beaten him worse. Oh well. This way I've still got more for next time.

I think he's just looking for all his original parts...

When the oil let loose, apparently all his cheap shiny aluminum bits, popped at the seams. tongue

So Mark, when you gonna backup an 11 second run?
And beat Steve?
And beat me?
Cuz, technically, you haven't beat me in a race for YEARS! rotflmao

I'll never shut up smile

Yeah, you beat me. But I know I can't drive. Even with your better driving, you still suck tongue

Even Obi Won lost to make himself stronger!

As for you Beinhaus...You should be banned from this thread until your car is "beatable".

Hey, I know it's not beatable... that doesn't change the fact that it'll always be unbeatable to you...

I don't care how you spell Bienhaus either, but I am going to teach you how to spell Mongoose. You'll see it enough from the rear end of my car... tongue

Go polish your lightsaber, oh Obi-Lost... wink

Sad thing is, Andy.. once you beat him, you'll realize it's a pretty hollow victory.

Mid 12's isn't that big of a deal. (Or that hard to do..)

Now, I'll have all kinds of time to talk about DSMs, because I won't be busy fixing mine!

-sigh-
true... too true.

maybe I had better start making a new list of goals in life, so that I won't feel so empty.

Didn't Mark have mid-12s about 4 years ago? on a 16G?

Yeah, but he needed race gas to do it.

I think he was almost a low 13 on pump with his Small 16G... On a good day.

Sh!t, at the same time I was 13.2 @109 on pump, with all Marco's mess and mistakes on my car, chugging black smoke all the way down!

What the dilly yo?! (to quote him)

He's gotta drop the dance lessons, and take some driving lessons!
