Hi,

I recently purchased a barely used big brake kit with brackets on Ebay.
It was off a 93 Diamante. I got them in the mail today, they are huge compared to the single piston and in excellent shape.
I also had ordered some drilled/slotted rotors for a 93 Talon TSI. Thinking they were a match for the calipers.
I haven't put them on the car yet, but when I place the pads in the calipers and insert the rotor, the rotor seems to small and the hub of the rotor hits the bracket before the pad can fully reach the end of the braking surface on the rotor.
Hmmmm...
The rotors must not be big enough or they sent me the wrong ones?
Can someone shed some light on this. Do I have to order rotors for a 93 Diamante? Will they fit 16" rims?

Thanks

Chris

Maybe you got rotors for a FWD.
I think it was only the AWDs that got big brakes in '93.

Whats the diameter of the rotor, fwd should be 10.2" while the 93+ awd's with the "big brakes" got 11.2" rotors. I know that caliper bracket on these does sit very close to the rotor hat when installed.

I just measured them, they are 10.2. They asked me if it was AWD and I said yes. They sent me the wrong ones. I will be sending them back.
Thanks alot!

I contacted X4 Rotors(the ebay store where I purchased them) and they appologized and said it was their fault.
I said I would send them back, and they said no, keep them, we will send you the right rotors on us.
Thats customer service!
Thumbs up for X4 Rotors.

Good to hear you got it sorted out, & sounds like that company offers great customer service, which can't always be said for Ebay stores tu

I'm new to the dsm world. Can someone please tell me what consists of this big brake conversion?? I was looking into like Baer brakes and all that but if this is cheaper and pretty much the same thing I'd be interested.

Vincent, using the search function of this forum will also get your answers sooner.

Search for 2 piston calipers. Go from there.
