hey everyone, I have been having idle problems lately.. it will idle at 2000rpm+ at times! There are times when the rpm will almost stick at 3500 rpm and refuse to drop down to a proper idle. I was hoping somebody has experienced this before or has any idea on how to fix a problem like this!

thanks

When I bought my car I had an issue like this, Idle stepper control motor.

Might also be a bad TPS and if you want it, let me know.

What's your coolant temperature sensor reading out at?

Ah yes, could be coolant temp.

If you were closer Ryan I'd offer to pull the DTCs for you. If you don't get it figured out by Sunday, I'll be out in Mississauga.

Cable might not be 'sticky' necessarily, just out of adjustment perhaps. When the car heats up to normal operating temp and the idle starts to rise, go under the hood and loosen the two bolts on the intake manifold that hold the cable in place... if your idle drops to normal than you know the cable was just too tight.
