Yep the coil pack is a very good place to start. I was driving and parked the car home one day. the next morning it just didn't start. Turns out the coil pack was gone.

I've got the same thing. But I'm wondering how do you check the ignition module? And DSMs have 2 ignition coils. 1 for cylinders 1,4 and one for 2,3 cylinders. It will still run with one ignition coil inoperative. Its very unlikely both would stop working at once you would think. But what is a good way to check the ignition coils and the ignition module? Any way to use a multimeter? Thanks.

Easiest is just to borrow someone's good coil pack and swap it in. Might want to borrow a Power transistor/ignitor as well.
Takes about 15 mins. You can swap out the coil pack without taking the fuel rail out, but its a lot easier if you just loosen the rail a little.

Or even easier than actually swapping them is simply connecting it without removing the old Coil, if it works than you wont be mad you have to swap them, if it doesnt work than you will be glad you didnt.
