Hello everyone, long time no see.
A friend of mine passed away last in a car crash. He was Driving his 95 Tsi at the time. Single car crash, he hit a tree on his street 50 meters from his house. The car split in half or parts of it anyway said one friend who was following him home. She said it was very foggy out when it happened. CP 24 has been showing clips all day. The kid was 23 , i dont know what to say, im in shock.
Guys, slow it down, i know its hard and i know everyone thinks they are hero drivers but sh!t happenes so smarten the frack up out there.
He bought the car off someone from here , im not sure who but Stafen told me he was a really kool guy.
R.I.P Stefan , see you one day in a better place.

RIP. My sincere condolences to his family as well. I don't believe his name has been released yet, so perhaps we should refrain from using it until such a time as it has been made public.
Grant, don't beat yourself up about this too much. You're not to blame for selling him the car nor are you to blame for what happened. Thanks Gates, that's exactly what my wife just said to me. I can't help it though, it's a completely surreal feeling I have right now.

That's terrible that it has to be one of us. Please let us know any further details about funeral or anything we can do to help the family.
We all take risks when were young we usually get away with it, but this just goes to show how delicate life can be.

HOLY SH!T. That was the kid who was suppose to my my 97 TSi. He joined our board not too long ago and we came down on him pretty hard, including me for some stupid comments he made. Man do I feel like a jerk now My condolenses to his family...... Man I'm at a loss for words Yeah i remember he called me asking me where i can get parts, i told him contact Ziggy he has goodies. Then i mentioned something about this board and Stefan goes to me " wtf is wrong with some people on the DSM board, they bitched me out" i dont remember what he said exactly. Then i said yeah, use the search button or some people will get upset. *sigh* fun times

He passed by on thuseday with the car to have a look at it ...HE also had no brakes ...He was going to order parts from ziggy for next weekend ...But siad that he was going to parked it tell then..wow... Yeah, he wasnt driving the car, he was busing it to work too. He was coming back from another one of our friend's place who lives litteraly 500 meters from his own house,i guess he drove cause it was shitty rainy weather. He wa son his way home from that guys house, had another girl following him home to drop off his car (cause he didnt want to get a loud muffler ticket) and head off to somewhere else. He drove past his townhouse complex entrance(for what reason we dont know) and lost control slid across stree and hit the tree aperantly sideways. Im not sure about details 100%

K guys, we've done this before, we should setup a donation/fund here to give to the family.
Thomas, you game? Have you got a Paypal account?
Lets get this setup for his family, what do you say?

Perhaps what we can do is Paypal you a small donation and you could give it to the family. What is your Paypal account address? I would like to send you a donation.

OMG, that is terrible news RIP Stefan, and my condolences to his whole family. Thomas, if you could get a bank account and transit # posted up, it will be easier than paypal. I'm shocked.

Indeed, that's so sad. My condolences to the family. Always sad when someone so young is gone.

WOW...unbelievable. My condolences also to the family....and to Grant... I won't even TRY to imagine how the family must feel... There is NO DOUBT they are going to need help.. I CAN try to imagine how Grant must feel...and I would SERIOUSLY suggest you consider talking to someone like a priest or your family doctor or possibly even a shrink. Everyone, including yourself, KNOWS you are in no way to blame....but I am guessing you are having a hard time FEELING not responsible. If I am right, get some HELP...

I'm speachless, I don[t even know what to say... My condolences to the family and close friends that he has. Grant I know it's hard not to blame yourself, but you had no influence on the actual event that happened. I know it's easier said then done to not feel some sort of "what if guilt", just try to relax, and don't hesitate to talk to someone about it. Everybody needs help at some point in their life, and this is no different.
Thomas man, I'm in for donating some bucks as well.
Ju, I don't think it's such a bad idea having a bunch of Talons/Lasers/Eclipses go to the funeral, we are afterall a community so to speak which he was part of, why not pay our respects in honor of him and the car of his dreams? I'm sure he would be smiling from ear to ear seeing that happen in honour of him and what he loved.
I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, but to me it's more about the reason behind doing a DSM showing that has meaning, not the fact that the tradgedy involved one.
