I did this on the weekend.
GSX rotors, calipers, and pads.
I would suggest that anyone thinking of doing this to DO IT.
what a difference it made in stopping power. Pads and rotors are not even broken in yet and the difference is CRAZY!!!

I did the same on my 1G FWD. Converted to the 2 piston calipers, with Brembo Rotors and DAMN.
X2 for the recommendation.

Or you could just stop screwing around with a lousy FWD and get a PROPER Eclipse with the hardware already there LOL. Seriously though, glad the swap worked out well for you. If you want a further improvement at a reasonable price, get some powerslot rotors with Hawk pads. I put these on my Tsi and the improvement was fantastic. The powerslot rotors also have good corrosion resistance in addition to some very impressive braking characteristics. Might not be the optimal choice for the track, but for daily driving, you'll find yourself having to adjust how hard you press on the brakes to slow down, because they bite hard.
I want an RS4.

Bahh, nothing like the pull of an AWD launch with 10psi on a stuttetbox launch.

Sure YOU would, but the rest of us aren't popping clutches at every light.

Here's a link with some useful info: Linky I did this mod years ago and now I want a real big brake kit. I suggest that any FWDers to save their money and forget the AWD brakes and get a real big brake kit. If I ever decide to change my OEM 16" rims, I'll be all over a big brake kit!! I used to warp the FWD rotors and I'm now warpping the AWD rotors - just my two cents ....

A real big brake kit is $$$
the AWD swap is a VERY cost effective way to increase braking.
My stock caliper was seized and the AWD ones were cheaper than the GST ones, that's why I did it lol
total cost was $200 for calipers, rotors, and pads, installation was done by me in 2 hours, due to rusty bolts lol

Rob, Ever seen mustang brakes (cobra) installed with OEM 16" Rims??? I really doubt it will clear, remember trying to fit my Wilwoods with your OEM rims? & mine are a 12.2" rotor. If you want to eat steering wheel, the 4 piston Wilwoods really do the trick & I was running one of their least aggressive street pads. I stepped it up a notch for this year, so now I can eat windshield as well
