Spend the cash on an HID conversion kit instead.

Now that's bling!

This is the first time I've heard someone try to do this mod, except those who bought a front bumper which is for the 97+ eclipse, and need a shorter headlight.

I suggest don't bother, it doesn't worth it. They looks identical anyway.

The Eclipse lights look way better, but it looks like ass with a Talon bumper. My buddy has a blitz front bumper desinged for the Eclipse headlights. In winter he puts on the stock Talon bumper and there is a nice gap.

Try lordco, or check out ebay, ebay has everything, and for good prices too.

I switched to Eclipse projetors in my car, which is a 97 Talon. They are a bit shorter then stock and leave about a 2 inch gap since they are for an Eclipse not Talon. But the look is awsome and well worth it. The projectors are much brighter then the stock lights. I get people flashing me thinking those are my high beams. laugh

Hey Josh, you just looking for factory eclipse headlights... they are the exact same... I priced them out like two weeks ago at a Mitsubishi and Chrysler dealership. Same part number... different price. The Mitsubishi ones where like $100 bucks cheaper a headlight.

No man, these are brand new "factory" lenses. The H.I.D. conversion kit I believe is the cables for the blubs.

I will be doing both to my car this spring, cause my lenses are wearing out on the inside, stone chipped and getting yellow too, not to mention my low beams no longer work due to melting in the wiring.

I hope this works... It's from a quality parts website. but they should be the same.

http://www.ezbodyparts.com/cgi-bin/...4&make=MITSUBISHI&model=ECLIPSE#

I can't show you ones from the dealer since I have to special order them. But you should get a good idea on how clear they are from that pic. Just imagine your car headlights were brand new, straight from the factory.

Are you looking for something like this?

Phillips HID Conversion Kit

EBay has them too.

Your hedlamps take 9006 bulbs. Any 9006 conversion kit should work as far as I can tell.

Josh, I don't think you'll get any better than sticking these in a brand new (or polished) set of stock headlights.

The nice looking clear ones are projector beams, and they don't make them for 1G:

http://www.mytightride.com/miec19prhe.html

That's one site I found, I'm sure there are many other brands available.

You already have an HID conversion kit Josh?
It's not just bulbs.. You have to install a transformer of some sort to convert the power to the bulb. Notice the price of that kit up there? You can't get this at crappy tire bird

Anyhow, I think for a 1G you can't get the lenses any clearer than OEM. They just don't make clear (projector) headlamps for 1G's. So if you want the bling bling (non-crappy tire style) you'll need the HID conversion kit.

Maybe you'd have to take the 1G light apart, and find a projector that fits perfectly in the bezel. And then polish the lens clear (is that even possible?)

Me thinks that'd be a lot of work!

If you dedicate enough effort and time (usually that includes money as well) you can make anything.

Its just work. Its not that hard.

If I had the time, I can custom make some projectors for 1Gs.

Question is, how much are you willing to pay for my time to make it worthwhile?

Jeremy You ever herd the saying MONEY AINT A THING!
I live by that, i guess thats why i have a serious bank loan!
This is one thing that is worth it for a 1G because NO ONE has them. I think you would make a killing off these if you made them.!
But like i said money is not a problem!

Really? Make me a business case.

How many people will actually spend $900-1000 for a set of custom made lights? One?

I will have to custom make the clear lens and modify the housing to use projectors. I have to test them to make sure they have proper adjustment/aim/refraction so I don't blind people.

...adn I have to do the same thing TWICE. tongue

If I can't do something right, I wont even bother starting.

I really hope for your own good (and this is in good nature) that you should maybe put some value into money.

A serious bank loan is nothing to sneeze at. Esp. when you are getting married. Cost can sky-rocket before you know.

Save for a rainy day. Sh1T happens.

I wouldn't say that if i did not mean it. I took out a loan, doesn't mean i dont have the money for it! I took it out to build a solid line of credit. over 5 years. $50.03 a week (not hard to do)
And like i said i already had money, 9 grand to be exact, but i want a line of credit, hence i technically only barrowed 3 grand. laugh . Thats how i do it. Married yes! 20 years old and in 1 week will be making 25 dollars start with no education- PRICELESS!
Dont worry big guy, i have a money freak father, an accountant who watches my money like an eagle. Furthermore, no money is not a problem.

ALSO- You obviously know your buisness very well Her, But think how many 1gers are out there thatw ould die for something like this. 1G's will pay the extra cash that no one else can get IE- CF hoods are hard to come by, but 2G's can get them in a week or a couple of days or a drive away, pending on how they want to go about it.

Thats how i think. Look above at all the 1G's guys. take a look and do a search at the threads were we had 1Gers outside with flippin toothpaste rubbing there damn lense. Or 1000 grit sandpaper or any other ways./myths to clean it up a bit rotflmao

Ohh yeah i think my writing got a little intense there, im not angry at what you said no worries, just filling you in so no one thinks i am a retard for taking out that much$$$! tongue
