seems like it's back. does it have anything to do with the cold weather as of late?
when i'm rolling in neutral, or JUST come to a stop, my car surges from about 1100 to 1400, then comes back down. arghh, it's annoying.

That happens to me as well, mine likes to kick in and out of gears pretty hard (car will kinda jolt) in really cold weather... its done it since ive had it, and even after the tranny was serviced/engine replaced.

You just gotta kinda feather the gas for a lil bit till the trany warms up...

Whats wierd is if i just lightly have my foot on the gas going below 20, my car sounds make a HUM,hum,HUM,hum noise kinda...

and what does your car idle at when completely warmed up, sitting at a dead stop. Sounds like the idle is set a little high or the throttle cable is not adjusted correctly. These are the major causes of idle surge...

When's the last time the throttle body was cleaned.

Did you check the BISS screw? The cold weather hardens the o ring and the screw backs it self out. The o ring is available at home depot and the biss screw can be ordered at satin, if you let this go too long like I did!

I 've been having this problem for about 3 weeks, and it's perfect now. All I did was cleaned the TB and adjust the idle.

I struggled the entire summer with my idle.
Cleaned the TB adjust the throttle position sensor.
Adjusted the Biss and I still had the surge.
I ran with the ISC unplugged until i could afford a new one because the ISC was throwing my idle all over the place.
Luckily Matt Toeppner hooked me up with a perfectly good used ISC and the idle is finally back to normal.
Thanx Matt once again

This could be related to either of these...

Is your TB hooked up to the water line? If the TB is not warmed up by the coolant (water line) hose, it will give you the dreaded idle hunt.

Also, if you TPS is gone, you will experience this as well. How to solve this? You either A - buy a new TPS, B - test the TPS to make sure it's still good, and then do A, C - disconnect the TPS completely and make sure you catch it on the correct 'angle' for this to function correctly. You will have to try a few times if you still get the idle hunting. start engine, disconnect TPS harness and verify if idle surging is gone. I've totally disconnected mine for over 3 years now.

Good luck!
