ok so the exahust had crap in it?? its not really affecting youre car is it? juss blew smoke for 5 minutes scared you and went away? and the alternator are you aure it was bad when you bought it? a) When buying the exhuast, or any part, wouldn;t you atleast look at it's condition? You knew it had that crap all over it. Your Fault.
b) You could of installed that alternator wrong, alot can go wrong in a 20min drive, it took my car a split second to loose all power and die, how? the alternator, whos fault? probably mine.

I've bought items from Dean as well, no problems.
Maybe when you blow a third alternator you'll think to look else where for the problem?
As for the cat, why didn't you look through it upon inspection?

Deans a good guy. You'll find that anyone onthe board that knows him will agree.
There is no way that enough coolant and oil can cling to the walls of a downipe to even come remotely close to clogging a cat. I've seen blown turbos dump their entire oil supply into the downpipe causing a smokescreen that coverd a 4 lane road, and the cat was not harmed. The thin FILM of oil that may have been there won't do $hit.
I hear you've blown a few alternators already?
Maybe you should put up a bad guy post about your mechanic instead of dean. From what i hear, you got raped hardcore for the alternator install, and subsequent reomval, as well as the exhaust installation.
