Hey all, I posted this already, but I feel my subject might have been a bit ambiguous.

So recently I pulled apart my head and repaired some issues there. Time was limited, so I had a good buddy of mine, a mechanic, reassemble the car.

He assures me everything is back as should be, but the car won't fire. He believes it is either the cam angle sensor or the ignition coil that is the problem, as there is no spark!

My question is, could there be any other issue with reassembly, perhaps missing a connection of a cable somewhere that would stop the plugs from firing. I find it odd that the car ran well then, but now it won't fire! Is it common that either a cam angle sensor and/or an ignition coil will just die??

Thanks a ton,

Dan

PS Any Ottawa area gurus willing to come check it out, a few beers and say $50 is in it for you!

Well, if its the CAS, you will have no spark forsure, you will also have no fuel either, are you getting fuel to the engine?
Theres 2 connectors right by the coil, one is a triangle shaped plug, thats for the coil, and one is a long rectangle shaped plug thats for the power transistor, if either of these are unplugged, youre car wont start.
If that all seems ok, I'd do a compression test and ensure he didnt accidentally mess up the re-assembly.
I assume the engine just cranks, but never catches?
This link should also help some what..

MPI = Multi Point Injection.
The fuse and relay for this provides power to the ECU.
If you don't hear a click when you turn the ignition to ON (or off), then the ECU is not getting power and you will not have fuel or spark.
