Ok, well there are always details to work out, and things to figure out... so for us Canadian types that are going to the Shootout this year, we have created this page.

Ontario Caravans

By road and Ferry, across Lake Erie (it's really a lovely relaxing trip), contact Andrew Bienhaus to be added to the list. Reservations must be made in advance, but space is definitely limited (the ferry only holds 14 cars).

At present, Pelee Island Transport has now informed me that the Ferry is full. They had one other person reserve for that day too.

We can only take the Ferry on the way there, due to their schedule and ours, not matching up. So, on the way back, we'll just all caravan together.

Western Caravans

Hotel Accommodations

As of typing, (1999 05 25) we have 21 rooms booked at the Gull Motel, in Huron, OH. It's been checked out by a fellow DSM'er who was passing through, and appears to be a very nice place.

If you would like a room there, the rates are $62, $72, $82, for Thursday-Friday-Saturday night stays. However, you are comitted to using all three nights, so you might as well plan on arriving on Thursday.
